The Cloth

Long-staple Egyptian cotton, woven to last.

Every GeeClassic shirt begins with one decision we refuse to compromise on: the cloth. We use long-staple Egyptian cotton — grown in the Nile Delta, spun into a fine, even yarn, and woven into a crisp poplin that stays cool in the heat and softens, never thins, with every wash.

No blends, no shortcuts, no shine. Just honest cotton, finished properly.

It starts with a longer thread.

The Fibre

It starts with a longer thread.

"Long-staple" means the individual cotton fibres are unusually long. Longer fibres twist into a smoother, stronger yarn with fewer joins — which is why the cloth resists pilling, holds its colour, and feels soft against the skin from the very first wear.

It's the difference between a shirt you replace every season and one you reach for for years.

The Weave

Tightly woven, quietly strong.

We weave the yarn into a tight, even poplin — each thread sitting close to the next. That density is what gives the shirt its clean drape and crisp hand, and what lets it take a press and hold a collar without ever feeling stiff or plasticky.

Hold it to the light and you'll see a fine, regular grid — the quiet signature of cloth made with care.

Mother-of-pearl, never plastic.

The Finish

Mother-of-pearl, never plastic.

The details are where shirts quietly give themselves away. Ours are fastened with real mother-of-pearl buttons — cut from shell, each one subtly unique — and cross-stitched on by hand so they stay put. A clean point collar, a French placket, single-button angled cuffs.

Small things, done the right way.

Built for Egypt's climate.

Made for the heat

Built for Egypt's climate.

Cotton this fine breathes. The open, even weave lets air move and moisture escape, so the shirt stays light and cool through a Cairo summer — at the office, at dinner, or with the sleeves rolled.

Made in Egypt, for the way Egypt actually lives.
